Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."
This is me and my husband, Derek, and the pictures below are the other important people, and puppy, in our lives. I'm originally from Wisconsin where I was born and raised, but when I finished my teaching degree I decided winter was not for me! I moved to Arizona and spent a few years teaching science in a public charter school. Finally, I moved to California and had worked here at LCC for the last four years!
This is my 4th year at LCC and I'm teaching Chemistry. Chemistry is a course that fun and exciting to teach for a variety of reasons. Science and Chemistry have always been a great passion of mine. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a bachelor's degree in both applied science and science education. My favorite part about teaching are my students, but I also love making science challenge, exciting, fun, and applicable to everyday life. There is no better feeling than to watch my students succeed!
This year, I'm teaching chemistry periods 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. I will be available before school most days (7:00AMish) and after school on Wednesday's (2:45PM-4:30PM). If students need additional help, they can always pre-arrange another time that will work for both of us!
I hope we have a fabulous year and if ever need anything - please feel free to contact me!
